This is me, behind the camera, having walked a long path to reach this complex, alluring, enjoyable, and worrisome moment. With all my love for storytelling, I ended up becoming an engineer by necessity, then realized that directors are engineers who just know a bit about magic. That’s when I realized I too wanted to make films and cast spells.

In the early days behind the camera, I felt like peering through the viewfinder altered the reality of everyday life in a strangely beautiful way. As my technical skills improved, I realized I could shape this reality using lenses, depth of field, aperture, and more, to portray it in the way I desired.

While I can’t claim to have lost my love for directing, I discovered that immersing myself in new mental landscapes and attempting to visually translate ideas brings me closer to each director’s unique world. Now, behind the camera, I feel a greater sense of freedom, as I believe it’s my turn to perform magic.
